Will Migisi Opawagan be a 2007 Quality Lodge?
Ran November 8, 2007 through November 18, 2007
In order to be a 2007 Quality Lodge, we must meet many requirement including #4 which states,
"The lodge conducted one or more Lodge Leadership Development (LLD) courses with qualified instructors and used the current LLD materials (available at www.oa-bsa.org) to train lodge and chapter officers, lodge and chapter committee chairmen, and their advisers. Collectively, the LLD courses were attended by a minimum of 75% of all members eligible to attend."
Meeting this requirement is only possible with YOU. We need everyone to attend the LLD on November 17, 2007 including all the new leadership for all the chapters and committees. Please go to migisi.org and download a registration form.
We all must do our part to be a Quality Lodge.

On November 17 the Training Committee will be providing this years Lodge Leadership Development (LLD). The LLD takes place at the Dauch Service Center starting at 8:00 am. We are excited about some of the new courses being offered for those involved with ceremonies, leadership positions, and for those who just want to get involved more. In order for us to continue to be a strong and growing lodge we need all members to participate in this year LLD (Not to mention it is a requirement to be a Quality Lodge). Be sure to register now, you can find registration forms at migisi.org. Cost is only $5 which provides you with lunch and a day of fun and learning.
Check out the new National Order of the Arrow "OA Training Central" at www.training.oa-bsa.org. This site provides an excellent resource to those wanting to provide training to your chapter or lodge. OA Training Central also contains all the content that was presented at the 2006 NOAC during the training cells. You can download the PowerPoint presentations, handouts, and all other materials that were given out or discussed at the previous NOAC.
Don’t forget that the Central Region will be hosting a National Leadership Seminar (NLS) and National Lodge Adviser Training Seminar. NLS and NLATS is a weekend training offered at the region level. These seminars explore the "skills and attributes of leadership".
The weekend format is designed to complement the longer, more detailed Wood Badge and National Youth Leadership Training Programs. Near the end of the seminar, participants make a contract with themselves to apply the skills studied in the seminar on projects in their lodge, council, and community." Be sure to take part in the upcoming NLS and NLATS. The next NLS and NLATS offered in the Central Region will be February 22-24, 2008 at the Geneva Center in Rochester, IN. More information to follow. Youth Arrowman interested in attending NLS have the opportunity to apply for scholarships through the lodge and section.

On November 18, 2006 we will be having the Lodge Leadership Development, (LLD). The LLD is a one day training course that helps arrowmen become better leaders. However, we need your help. We need to know from you the following:

- What you already know about the OA
- What is important to you as an arrowman, and/or chapter/lodge officer
You can let us know about all of these by taking the LLD Survey. Go to migisi.org and select LLD Survey from the Hot Topics Box which is located in the upper right hand corner.
Please take a moment to let the training committee know what is important to you. If you have any questions feel free to contact me through email.
