OAU Program Areas

OA University students have the option to pursue four different degree tracks, depending on their interests or the areas where they feel they could use the most help.

Dance and Ceremony (DCE)
A study of the role of Native American dance and ceremonies in the Order of the Arrow. Students receive an in-depth knowledge of the Native American culture and extended learning of techniques and practices of OA Indian affairs.

Order of the Arrow Administration (OOA)
A study of the internal working of the Order of the Arrow from the Chapter level to National. A student can expect to learn leadership skills and expert knowledge of administration on the OA to help make them a better chairman, officer, or adviser.

Outdoor Education (ODE)
A study of the Boy Scouts of America’s various outdoor programs. Students will learn about subjects such as low-impact camping, nature, high adventure, and environmental awareness.

General Studies (GEN)
A study of the basic classes offered at OAU. Students are able to choose classes from all areas of study. Doctoral degrees are not available in this area.
