Not every competitor in the cotton ball beard race can be a winner.

Arrowman were challenged to make the longest rope they could from the things they had on and in their pockets.

No, they aren't digging for treasure, they're hard at work.

History 1959 - 1968

In 1959, the Lodge celebrated its 20th Anniversary. Camp Brady was no longer a Scout Camp. The camping activities were now centered on Charles Howell Scout Reservation and D-Bar-A Scout Ranch. The pattern of service established several years earlier was continued. Spring Conclave at CHR and Fall Conclave at D-Bar-A. The 20th Anniversary was fittingly observed by devoting a weekend to service to the camp. The celebration took place on May 8, 9, 10, 1959.

At the celebration there was a Vigil calling out on Friday night. There was a short early breakfast for the new Vigils and Vigil Honor Members held prior to the members and candidates breakfast Saturday morning. Saturday night was the banquet which was preceded by fireworks. It is of interest to note that Ordeal Ceremonies started at 7:00 p.m. and concluded by 8:15 p.m. with the banquet starting at 8:30 p.m.
