Congratulations to the new 2008-09 Section C2A Chief, Jason Smith. He was elected Section Chief on May 4th during the Section Conclave business meeting held at Camp Agawam near Lake Orion, MI. Jason has done an outstanding job since becoming Migisi Opawgan's lodge chief in December 2006 and will be a great leader for the Section. Our next lodge chief, who will be selected at the May 21st Lodge Executive Committee meeting, has a solid foundation from which to work thanks to Jason's hard work. Please congratulate Jason when you see him! It's the Migisi-way.

NOAC 2K9 in 442 days!

The lodge is please to announce registrations for the 2009 National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC) are being taken for members of Migisi Opawgan Lodge. The preliminary cost estimate is $450 for the August 1-6, 2009 event at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. A non-refundable (but transferable) deposit of $75 is required by October 31st. The lodge leadership hopes our NOAC fund raisers will help reduce the estimated cost for participants, but we must run with the $450 fee for planning purposes. Past national OA requirements dictate a 2:1 youth to adult ratio; so adult participation will be limited to this ratio against our youth registrations. Questions: Please speak to NOAC Chairman, Andrew Curtiss, or his NOAC Adviser, Mr. Mike Bien.

NOAC '09 - Fun at Indiana U is only a few short months away!

Hey guys:

The National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC) 2009 at Indiana University is just a few short months away its time to start designing our patches.

If you remember NOAC '06 we had some pretty cool designs for two-piece flap and pocket patches. We need some awesome drawings that will top those. Any arrowman (especially youth) can submit a design and can start submitting them this weekend at Section Conclave. Youths will have opportunity to vote on them at upcoming LEC meetings.

We are going to select at least one two-piece fundraiser patch design at the May LEC, May 21st. so you had better start drawing! Do it this weekend at Section! We will have a few other delegate patches too so we need many designs submitted. Remember to design them in the spirit of Scouting and the OA (that means keep them appropriate and positive)

Submit your two-piece pocket flap patch designs to myself, Jason Smith (Lodge Chief), or Mr. Mike Bien (NOAC Committee Adviser) starting this weekend at Section.

Thanx and see you at section!
